at the Portsmouth Arts Guild Center for the Arts
July 8-August 26 (no meeting July 29)
We will meet on Sunday afternoons from 3-6 at different locations.
$4 for PAG and BAM members$5 for non-members.You may also pay for the entire series: $25/$30 These are drop in sessions. Check website by 1PM for weather notice. If it is raining we will paint inside at the Portsmouth Arts Guild from 2-5. See schedule below.
There is no instruction but we will have an optional group critique
at the end of each session. Come with friends or make new ones. All media and levels welcome.
July 8-Meet in front of the Stone Barn at Colt State Park. Paint the Barn or Mill Gut.
July 15- We are meeting inside today from 2-5 at the PAG due to heat and humidity and threat of storms
July 22-We are meeting inside today from 2-5 due to a 90% chance of rain. Angelina’s is rescheduled for August 27.
July 29-No plein air due to Art al Fresco along the fence on Hope Street in Bristol but you are welcome to come and paint at PAG from 2-5 that day or come stroll along Hope Street and see some great artwork from 10-4
August 5-Meet at Bristol Town Hall. Paint buildings, streetscapes.
August 12-Meet at Warren Town Wharf on Water Street in Warren. Paint boats and Barrington River.
August 19-Meet at Bristol Narrows, a popular fishing spot at the end of Bristol Narrows Rd off of Metacom Ave. Paint river, marshes, fishermen.
August 26-Meet at Angelina’s at 301 Hope Street in Bristol. We can paint behind the restaurant where they have tables and chairs set up as well as flower pots and buildings to paint. You may aslo paint in front of the restaurant. We will have coffee and pastries and share the work we have done over the summer.
September 2-Meet at Paradise Valley Park in Middletown to paint Boyd’s Windmill , landscapes and Old Schoolhouse.
Sept 9- meet at Portsmouth Arts Guild to paint indoors or outside the Guild. We will meet from 2-5 today.
September 16- Meet at Simmons Farm, which is across the street from Prescott Farm on West Main Rd (rt 114). Paint landscape, old barn, animals.
“Open Watercolor Studio”
Every Thursday morning from 10-12. Work on Watercolors or other Watermedia of your choice. No instruction but enjoy the companionship of other artists. Optional sharing and critique at the end of each session. Free for PAG members/$5 for non-members
